How to volunteer

Volunteers are welcome at our events. Please see our events page for more ways to get involved.

And generally…

All sorts of people join Friends of Clapham Common and some like to volunteer their time to help with our events, from biodiversity work to social meetings. Others have particular skills that are needed in the day to day running of our voluntary group, such as secretarial, legal, book-keeping, organisation, IT, introductions, media work, fundraising and team leadership.

We particularly need new members to serve on our Committee, to help develop our reach. We have a clear strategy. The level of commitment equates to around a day per month of your time.  Meetings take place approximately every six weeks. You might help with responding to consultations, planning the year’s activities, offering legal advice, talking to journalists, supervising work parties or helping to organise social events.

Please let us know if  you would like to volunteer for our projects, or on the Committee, and what your particular skills are.

If you would prefer to talk this over before committing yourself, please contact
